Gail E. Kurtz
Gail has specialized in treating and coordinating successful treatment for individuals with Learning Disabilities and people with attention, language or learning issues for many years.
Before opening her specialized center, Gail was a public school teacher for 20 years in both Central Missouri and Central Florida. She was an elementary school teacher for 3rd-6th grades and worked for seven years as a specialist in implementing the “High Intensity Reading and Math, Federal Title VII Program” for the Orange County Public School System.
Gail has been involved in local, state and national levels of Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) for several decades. She has been President of LDA of Florida for 4 years and the State Presidents’ Representative for the National LDA Board of Director. She recently has been elected a member of the National Board of Directors for 2 more years.
Along with her LDA involvement, Gail is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), the Council of Exceptional Children (CEC), Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD) and the National Institute for Learning Disabilities (NILD). As her center’s treatment programs change people’s abilities and their lives, her passion increases to think about the thousands of specialized instructors and educators who haven’t had the training to truly remediate in their Success treatment methodologies. Gail and her husband Denton formed the Learning Disability Institute, as a vehicle for supplying a number of “Certified: Master Trainers who would share this valuable knowledge in their communities or instructions throughout the world.
